Lift pump on 2002 model

Sold 96 model ordered 2002. With all the problems with the lift pumps just wondered if anyone knows has the problem been solved or will I still have the same lift pump problem wiith the new model? I'm Flyn Fred's Dad and I'm truckless

Dunno... . time will tell, I guess! Our 2002 ETH/DEE has 4500 miles on it - 16+ PSIG at idle and around 12 PSIG post-filter fuel pressure at WOT pulling our 5ver. These pressures seem to be significantly higher than pre-2002 trucks, but who knows if they will last. The blasted lift pump is still a long way from the fuel tank!

Lift Pumps.

There was a slug of the 2001s that had problems, I've seen a few y2ks and the other years, but it seems that the high number of 01s really brought this out in the light, and of course adding fueling boxes does'nt help the pump either. Time will tell.
