Several weeks ago and again today, I have been having an idle problem. Both times it has been when the tank is down to about 1/3. It intermittantly will drop to a low idle or even a miss. It will rev up and run fine. I am at 142K on my '93.

Another possible area is that part of the nipple broke off of the fuel drain assembly. It all still appears tight and unable to move in in addition to the fact that it should be under pressure at that point.

My thought/hope is lift pump.

Please pray for the victims of the terrorist acts.

I had the same problem with a '91. Bad idle, good running above idle. Both pumps were bad, a fairly expensive fix.

Tonight I changed the fuel filter. There was no evidence of dirt or metal from the lift pump in it. Also put a new drain/water detector on.

I noticed that there was evidence of seepage on the line going into the lift pump. Not wet, but enough to collect and dampen the ubiquitous dust. I reseated it and left the new lift pump behind the seat. I guess we will see when the fuel level drops again... .

Is this a common failure point? What needs to happen if it continues to seep?
