This might not be the right place for this but I had a weird problem with my truck today. I've noticed a slight loss in power for about a week or so but I figured it was fuel. I fuel in a lot of different places.

The first thing that happened was that the truck kind of cutout pulling up a long hill. (lugging a little) It felt like a very quick complete loss of power. It happened twice. Next, the truck went into limp mode twice when I decelerated going around a corner. I didn't do anything and the power came right back after about 5 seconds. I wasn't pulling anything at time and I did not have my VanAakin box hooked up. (I don't use it all the time) I ran the codes and I got a p1693 and a p0216. What do you guys think? Truck has 72000 miles on it now.

Doggone it Gary I wasn't wanting to here that. Maybe that's where some of my fuel mileage has gone? I noticed it about a week ago. I was passing an 18 wheeler on I-20 and the motor went flat. I was pulling an empty trailer at the time. (8000lbs) It's been running kind of weird ever since. In fact it's been running a little hot about 200 I'm guessing. Today I was out on I-20 between Longview and Shreveport and I noticed it surging. My son even noticed that it didn't want to crank in Shreveport. Guess I'll call the dealer tomorrow. Is there anything that I need to tell the dealer to get this whole deal expedited?

You shouldn't have any dealer problems, as long as the pump wire is unviolated... ;)

... And where exactly are your guages? :p :p

Make sure they check the LP as well - it may have long since failed and taken the VP-44 with it...

Thanks Gary the uh uh Gages are on order ya ya and they should have been in all ready ya thats the ticket... ... ... ..... I turned the switch on and turned the switch off twice and on the third time left it on... ..... I think thats what I did anyway Mr. Blackburn ... ... .

Well

I got the call today from the dealer.

The injection pump will be replaced and the vibration noise that I have been experiencing was bad u joints. Maybe thats why my mileage has been so bad. I have even been under the truck checking the u joints but I never felt any slop to everyone should be aware of that. I figured it was a bad carrier bearing.

Thanks for the help
