Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Lift Pump Problem???

Sounds like LP problem, what do you guys think? 99 2500 LB AUTO 4X4.

1ST CLUE, After draining water from fuel filter it didn't want to start, almost drained batteries.

2ND CLUE, Under hard acceleration in left turn, it stumbles (doesn't do it in right turn). It also stumbles when rocking steering wheel from side to side under hard acceleration. Any ideas? Where is the best place to order these from? Are they difficult to install? Oh, and no pump sound when turning on key. Thanks

Sounds like a L/P to me, #1 get a gauge so you can monitor the pressure at all times, I would go to Cummins and get a new pump , easy to install, take the 2 bolts out of the filter housing and push it away from the motor, this will give you plenty of room to do all the work from the top.
