I was just on my way home and my truck started acting up. It felt like it was choking around 55 when I slowly gave it throttle. Then the engine light came on. The gauges and egts looked ok. The motor totally died when I made a right turn and slowed down to 5mph. I checked the codes and P0628 and P0148 came up. I take it the lift pump went out? I tried to fire it back up a couple times. It started up then died a few seconds later. Then it would fire for a bit. I got it started and floored it since it was around the block from my house. It spuddered at low speeds and had to do 45mph to make it home. Is this a common problem? I have the powerpup on performance setting and stock injectors. Would a FASS fix this problem? Could the injection pump be damaged?

I never got any codes when my lift pump died. It felt like horses were moving around in back at first, then I noticed the boost wavering with the surge, then it died ... ... . all within a mile or 2. I knew what it was before I coasted to a stop.

99,000 miles and change.

Funny thing is, my injector pump died at 98,000 on my '99.
