Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) lift pump pulsating

I recently installed yet another lift pump on my truck. At first it seemed to pulse when the intake heaters went on and off. However, now ot turns on and off untill the truck warms up. The pump is mounted, for some time, back by the fuel tank and I am able to hear it start and stop. I cannot remember any of the other pumps doing this. Has something different done to the new pumps, or have I noticed it for the rirst time? The presure does not vary on the gauge and the truck runs well. Has anyone experienced this?
