I have seen a few articles adviseing to put a pump at the Tank area there by directing the fuel to a pump located at the Engine. This would be TWO PUMPS in A SERIES operation. HAS any one thought about or tried a Parallel operation ???In Electronics you can increase the Current flow when in a Parallel operation. Why coundn't you increase the fuel flow and at the same time decrease the time the pump has to work??There by prolonging the life of the PUMPS??? Come on GUYS Lay it on Me ??Will it work??? RADAR DOCTOR.....
 
Radar, do you mean a pusher pump system ??? If so, yes, it has been done by many members and is, for the most part, working well.

I "think" the reason most users have gone to a pusher pump (for a in series set up) is because of the "poor" placement of the factory pump. It has been said a number of times that the lift pump was designed to push fuel rather than suck it. If one was to run a parallel system (IMHO), eventually you would wind up with a functioning pump mounted by the tank and the one on the engine would fail, leaving you with a rear mounted pump with a little "extra hardware".



A number of posters have asked the same question about having the pumps in parallel and may chime in to give their opinion/results.



As stated above... this is only my opinion. There may be some grate systems out there like you are asking about!!!
