lift pump question

It does deep six the stock lift pump and the 4601 mounts back by the tank. So you win one lose another. I had thought of shielding mine just for noise. Its a loud sucker.

I havent seen where it mounts but

what if a guy made a nice little stainless box around it to keep the elements off it.



I wonder if it needs air movement around it to keep cool?



i guess if all I ever did was highway driving in warm climates I wouldnt really care but minnesota is mostly gravel roads and salt covered slushy highways in the winter.

Yes these trucks need the liftpump to start and run properly.

I guess thats why we are trying to eliminate the junk and replace with a good pump
