As some of you know I BOMBed my fuel system recently and relocated the lift pump to the frame in front of the tank. I plumbed 1/2" line from the tank, including the pickup assembly, to the filter canister.

While it was a project and a half (pickup assembly was a PITA, some of you saw my posts  ) it was nice to easily take care of the wiring portion by going with the new pump relocation harness Practical Solutions has available. All I had to do was plug into the original stock pump plug, run the wiring back to the new lift pump and connect it up. The kit includes a relay and fuse for protection of the ECM. There is an extra fuse & relay included to keep in the cab should a component fail out on the road. I used a Carter pump but I believe this will work with most pumps (Mallory, Holley, BG).

Just wanted to make note of this incase any potential fuel system BOMBer is getting set to do their system. While it wouldn't be too hard to wire your own, this does have the benefit of being able to do the project without harming the OEM wiring. For those not loving wiring projects (the fuel line part is a project in itself) this will make the whole job a bit easier.

Yep. Gordon makes good stuff. I've used his boost module and his high idler and his metal pulley. Good quality stuff at reasonable price.

When I installed a pusher, I go diesel all over my arm and shirt. I'm glad it did not sting like gas..... :D
