I want to relocate the lift pump to the rear and run the original pump. I need a wiring harness to do this as I do not wish to cut and splice the original. Found reference to one for $99. Ouch.

Anyone know of a better price on a harness? Alternative would be the pigtails for each end and I could add wires to the middle-- That way it could be returned to factory if desired.

Thanks!!

Dave, I dont know the part nimber but Cummins has an 8" pigtail for 8 bucks, cut it in the middle and extend it out!

cheers, Kevin

Thanks!!

You see there was this nice guy named Kevin that answered all my stupid lift pump questions-- and then he even helped me find the parts:D :D

Thanks!

Edit--

Went to dealer on way home and priced pigtail. It was $32 I told the parts guy $8 at Cummins and he said he wasn't surprised. He also offered to look for a FREE pigtail on a dead lift pump but it had been discarded. He then explained how nice it is to see cummins owners never order parts AFTER warranty is gone and blamed DC for their huge mark-ups.

His cost for the pigtail from DC-- $21. 50

He told me that DC even monitors their computer and makes sure that any warranty parts were ordered from DC before payment to dealer is made on warranty repairs.

''Stealer'' does not apply to this guy-- look at his percentage markup versus that charged by DC
