how many of you , have paid to replace the lift pump for a intank model at the dealer, mine charge 1250$ and my truck is under warranty.

I don't see how your truck is under warranty. Its 5 1/2 years old, and you are at 60k miles. I don't think the 7/70 warranty covers the lift pump. Do you have an extended warranty of some kind?

Is it the same in Canada?

Bob

So BOB 4X4 the filtermounted pump is part of the 70k drivetrain warranty not the 100k engine warranty??

It usually shows up being covered under the cummins warranty. I have seen some exceptions. The warranty in Canada and Mexico is not something I have paid much attention to,

Bob

I also had lift pump replaced under warranty. I have 85,000 miles but less than 5 years in service. Cost me $0. 00 dealer wanted to charge 100. 00 deductable had to take warranty info. book and show them ther is no deductable at my milage if less than 5 years in service.

I was 38 months in service at 70,000 miles when mine was replaced. They didn't charge to replace the pump, but soaked me for $85 for a filter change!

Engine mounted pump is covered under the Engine and Fuel system warranty. 7/100 with the deductable of $100 being applied in years 6 and 7. It is NOT part of powertrain. The INTANK pump is covered 3/36 period on 05 and UP trucks.
