I have a question and I need someone a lot smarter than I am. With all the lift pump problems that I have had and everyone else has, why cant you take like a Holly electric fuel pump and plumb it in to the feed the fuel filter and injectors? Will this or will this not work and just bypass that lift pump all together? Just tired of everone wanting 300+ dollars. Any thoughts? Thanks.

It's been tried by a number of people - some succesful, some not. Do a search on "holley" and you'll come up with 249 threads. Personally, I've used Holley pumps on off road and race vehicles in the past and haven't gotten more than about 100 hours out of them.

:-laf Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "WOW, WHAT A RIDE!" :-laf

Amen.

From all that I have read, that lift pump that is worth a DAMM is probably spelled F. A. S. S.

Get back to us after we have a thousand or so installed on trucks like ours so we can reliably establsh failure rates on the Cummins in OUR trucks - Then we can better judge long term life and reliability - otherwise, it's just another substitute full of promises and great expectations! ;) :D
