I know this subject has extensive postings but my cousin has experienced his first lift pump failure (2002 HO, 275 Injectors, Edge Comp, methanol injection, and htt turbo) and was wondering what the best solutions are to the lift pump problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Thanks,

Joe

Have you checked into the FASS system?? It has a heavy duty pump a filter and water seperater in one. It puts out a lot more fuel than the lift pump too.

Since I didn't have the green paper to lay down for a FASS I got a hold of a guy in Utah who made me all the fittings and brackets to move the stock LP down to the tank. The reason for this is because the LP is made to push and not pull. So as far as it is away from the tank on the side of the block its pulling more than pushin. So if you want to go that route Call Eric at (360)885-1895.

Holley

The best solution I came up with is locating the pump near the tank on the frame.

Next is to use a READILY AVAILABLE pump. The only 15 psi 100gph "rated" pump on the shelf around here is the Holley blue. It is adequate for stock or mildly modified engines. I believe the Holley black would be a better choice, but again, i want rapid parts availability. (hours not days)

At first I was using the Carter but that was also order only and wait.
