lift pump woe's

will it ever end?

replaced my lift pump with a new one from cummins about two months ago. coming home from the race at Lounden,NH. yesterdayat numerious speeds and boost pressures my truck would have the dreaded "hiccup"!!! it did this several times. has anyone ever had a pump go in as early as 2000 miles? it's probaly just my bad luck. i have a fuel pressure guage from Genoe's but havn't put it in yet. guess i have a job for this week. good thing is i have another brand new pump sitting on the work bench... . james. .

Hey RAMHEAD... . Your stock fuel pump may not be creating enough pressure. Ted Jennetty was talking to me yesturday about increasing my fuel pressure to prvent fuel pump failure and starvation with a simple $50 part.
