I just changed my fuel filter today like it was explained in the new TDR issue, and now my truck wont start. I drained the filter and it did fill it up when i bumped the starter a couple of times but now it just wont fire. HELP!

Sounds like the pump is working since it is filling the filter canister.

Push the throttle to the floor, then crank it for several seconds. Let the starter cool for a few mins if it doesn't start and try again. If it doesn't fire within 3 tries, you will probably need to bleed the injector lines at the head.

I Just did this myself. I did not cycle the pump 5 times and pushed air all the way to the injectors. Bleed the pump at the banjo bolts until all air is gone. Then crack the 1, 3, 4 injectors at the head and crank the engine for 30 seconds and then give it a two min rest to cool the starter and repeat untill you get fuel at the injectors. When fuel comes out tighten up. engine might run a little rough for a min or two

Armchair quarterback, I haven't had the pleasure yet, but its coming.

Isn't there a schraeder valve/test port you can bleed from?

I'm gonna assume something like a jumper switch to the lift pump to run it wouldn't work because to VP is air-locked.

when you service the fuel filter, and bump the starter for the lift pump to fill the filter, it may take 2 or 3 times. then losen the banjo bolt on the supply side of the injection pump if fuel is comming out. If not run the lift pump again until it does. close banjo bolt get in start truck it will have to turn over for about 15 to 20 seconds before it will start. by turning the engine over that long it will force the air out of the injection pump through the drain manifold. the only time you have to bleed the injectors is if you work on the high pressure side of the injection pump.

I always fill the fuel filter canister 3/4 with fuel then drop in the filter put the cover on tighten. Bump starter to get lift pump to cycle, turn key off then go open up the water drain until fuel runs out, close drain, bump starter once then she has always fired right up.
