I have a friend with an '03, 6 speed. Was having problems with the truck and was diagnosed with a bad lift pump. Took to a local shop here in TN and was told that they don't make lift pumps for the side of the block, which is what his came with, that they would have to install an intank lift pump. I haven't heard of this, then again I'm not a professional by any means. Is this true. Let me know, just wanting to know for my own benefit, the shop already installed the intank lift pump.

Thanks,

Ryan

Yes DC update is the In tank Pump, although the mounted Pump is still available $300. 00, We have customers with over 200,00 on the mounted Pump, But most fail in half that mileage or less. .

Had mine done at 62K under warrantee. Fluid dynamics tells you that a pump that pushes the fluid is much more efficient than a pump that pulls the fluid. Increased efficiency means less work for the pump and longer life. I think Dodge made a good call on this one. JMHO :-laf

Sounds good. Thanks for the replys. Glad to hear that it is probably a better setup. Just wanted to make sure he was getting the better end of things.
