Need to replace my lift pump.

1. )Is there a better aftermarket pump or should I stay with the Carter??

2. )Has anyone thought of putting a second inline lift pump?

If you're looking for a direct bolt-on replacement, then an Airtex E7153 gearotor type pump is a great low-cost option. They can be purchased through most chain auto parts stores, Rockauto.com online, and Vulcan Diesel Performance.

Vulcan also sells a lift pump relocation kit that makes it simple to move either the OEM Carter or an Airtex pump down to the frame rail just in front of the fuel tank... a better location so the pump can do more "pushing" instead of "sucking. "
