I have read how some owners have changed their lift pump due to faulty fuel pressure. Where is the lift pump??? My service manual does not mention a lift pump. I have the P7100 injection pump. I have followed the fuel lines back to the filter, fuel heater, pre-strainer and the manual prime pump. No lift pump. My fuel tank does not have a pump in it. If I'm not mistaken doesn't the injector pump bring the fuel up from the tank? The control valve regulates pressure and returns unused fuel to the tank. Its on the injector pump.

In the maual it refers to the lift pump as "transfer pump".

Grey Wolf is right primer is part of transfer pump.

The large diameter hose coming out of fuel heater/prefilter attaches to the transfer pump.
