I picked up the truck and did not hear the buzz of the lift pump from the dealer. The lift pump was replaced under warranty, but did NOT work when I picked it up. The part number is the old one. Here I go back to these "Techs" to let them ravage my truck!

The funny thing is they tried to charge me for "diagnostics" WHEN I TOLD THEM WHAT WAS WRONG. The service manager said "lift pump failures are rare". Dr. Evil would say "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight".

Am I better off just buying the part and fixing it myself?

pump

Being a heavy tech at a dlr I can see that if the job does not get to the right tech it would be better to do it yourself. I don't know how some of these techs can call themselves techs... .....
