Is there more to it than moving the leaf-spring bolts down to the bottom hole? Anyone done this before? How hard is it to do?

You can drop those one hole if you want... looks like you'll gain an inch or so of clearance. Obviously the equalizer needs to be dropped one hole as well. Any time you are moving the frame further away from the axle just make sure your brake wiring has enough slack to allow for suspension extension.



If you do it make sure you have adequate stands to support the weight of the trailer, don't put the stands to close to the ends of the trailer as they are designed to carry the weight where the spring hangers attach. Things need to be safe as you are going to work under the unit. Have a floorjack handy to hold the weight of the axles as you move them down.
