no I have nothing against Skyjacker thay are great and I've never heard anything bad about their systems I was just trying to cover my bases. I like to know I have the best of the best on my truck ... ... ... ... ... hence the CUMMINS under the hood.

I dont know of any better than skyjacker so I turned to the TDR for suggestions.

I just ordered a sway bar for my 93 and saw they have Tuff Country EZ Ride lift kits. I have not done business before today with these folks so I do not know how good they are. I thought the prices shown for a kit were not too bad but I have never bought a kit so I really don't know. I'm putting this here just for info.

The site is www.SuspensionConnection.com

I dont want the sway bars took me a long time to find a cummins with out one. I've been planing on building this truck since I got it I just cant decide on tire size and lift/cut amount and stuff like that. right now I'm trying to decide on either 35" or 37" bfg muds, or 33s. any of them are gonna get a 2" or 4" skyjacker

35's will fit with a 4" with minimal clearence issues. If you get the right wheel. Right now Im running 39. 5's on a 1st gen with only 6". and a lot of sawzall/sledgehammer work. Only prob I have, with the right wheel backspacing to clear the fenders (I think Im running 4. 75" bs), the tire contacts the pitman arm at full lock. Guess its time for crossover conversion. :)

go to www.offroadexchange.com and go to mechanic on duty. there is a first gen forum there, and all shaggys does is lifts. Its good stuff.

Oh yeah, I also have a truck without the factory swaybar. I ended up installing one anyways. It handles better in the fast stuff, and only sacrificed 85 on the RTI ramp. it was worth the trade off.

tuff country is OK, but their stuff usually sags. they do have some of the lowest spring rates of anyone, though, so the ride is ok.

Skyjacker is good too, but as previously mentioned, Deaver, national, alcan, etc can build stuff far superior to skyjacker, etc. I personally stay away from rancho and rough country for the 1st gens. the stuff is junk.

I've had the 4" SkyJacker in the past and was pleased with them. Like them better than the 5. 5" Superlift that I have now. Custom Deavers are nice but they can be $$
