Looking at trucks online, and came across a 2500 with this thing mounted under steering wheel. Kinda near the area where you’d put an aftermarket brake controller but on the left side of steering wheel. I can’t figure it out. I looked at the build sheet and the dealer description but nothing there. Assuming aftermarket.
I figured I’d post the pics I found online to see if you guys had any idea. It appears to light up red when “on”. If I’m really interested in truck I’ll call and ask for more info, so this is just for s’s&g’s for now.
All comments are appreciated in advance!

My OBD II wireless device looks like this when plugged in. Dealers can plug devices into the OBD port to protect against theft and track vehicle use before sale. And, I'm sure other things. My sister took her new Hyundai in for service and it came back with a device plugged in to it. No-one would claim it. Ask about it.

That could be some sort of aftermarket alarm. Mine had one installed by the dealer that caused all kinds of problems until I removed it.
