Ok, today I just flat out backed down from 2, 6. 0 powerstrokes. I know, i know... you guys think they are junk. But I drove a dually last week and they run GOOD. They just rolled up next to me on the highway, slowed -even- with lilthumper and then just slowly drove off. "they knew I didn't want none!" NEXT, I pulled up to a 99-2002 24valve CTD that said "blakbos" on the tag, we were at the light and I just let him leave hard. I just sat at the light and watched him go... . "hey, they have more hp right?" The final. . somewhat backdown of the night was this dually 2003 chevy big block truck. . I know the guy has an air filter and some exhaust work done. (he is a local shop owner. ) So he spots me in the rear view and slows to 10 mph, perfect for my truck to hit first gear and take off. I pull past him only because I reacted before he did, and then the dreaded 3-4 non lock gears go to work... he is pulling back. I finally hit lockup and start to think... "please provide me with --copious quantities of ice cold turbo boost in lockup--" I was actually dreaming of the lockup power of Jim Fulmers truck. . BUT, it didn't happen. I did SLOW his assault on my rear end, but I finally let out to save face. We stopped and talked about my new truck, and then he left hard from a stop... . I just sat there again to save face. I am now going to bed, only to dream that Jim Fulmer has some tricks in his magic hat. Hey Jim, I was hoping to just "drive" the truck for a while, but you know how it goes... ... .
