Truck (sled) pull/show & shine, IN, July 24th

May Lunch (in)

The Lima 4x4 Jamboree is comming up soon May 14-16. If anyone hasn't been there it is a great show ( I drive 10hrs to get there) But whats better is the after show activities ! At the hotel there is burnouts and back to back truck pulls and on Saturday night there is sanctioned back to back pulls on concrete at the Wapokeneta Fairgrounds. What is sad is that Powerjokes dominated last year. I know there is alot of bad Cummins in that area and i'd like to get them to go there and show these Ford boys what a little 6 cylinder can do. See ya at Lima!!

May have good news...

Looks like myself and the GF may be going to the 4x4 jamboree. Afterall i did graduate from the Northwestern University (tech college for those of you who may not know, not to mention one of the best in the country) and would LOVE to go back and see some of the old friends, and co-workers.

Lets us know some more details when u find them out or a website maybe ?

Dave,

When are you going to be at the show? All three days? I would love to run on the dyno again since rebuilding the truck. I dynoed on yours last April or May at TS Performance in Bowling Green KY and would like to do it again. Last question, can I make a reservation befor hand on a time slot? Thanks Dan

Hey Curtis and Dan,

Mike and I plan to roll in tomorrow evening (Thursday)and drop the dyno at the fair grounds. We are scheduled to dyno Friday - Sunday and that is about all I know now. This is the first time a dyno has been at the Jamboree so we really have no idea what to expect but we hope it will become a regular feature.

Like the other events, we'll do sign-up at the dyno. If you don't make the list, let me know and we'll see what we can do.

We are at the Comfort Inn so even if I am "lucky enough" to be busy all during the days, maybe we can all get together for dinner and/or drinks after we shut down. And from what I hear, the "after hours" activities almost out due the daytime stuff. :D

See you there...

Dave that sounds good I am coming up saturday morning so I will try to find you and get signed up right away. I am also bringing the GF to show her around the college over here so she knows where I am when I am away from home so I will do my best to find you right away and get scheduled as I won't be spending the entire day at the Jamboree.

Just got back

I've been a regular to the jamboree scene for several years now, but it was my first time as a "diesel guy". I probably had more interesting conversations with people there than all the other times combined! I even got to see & check out the fabled "Schied truck". Way more diesel stuff than expected, but as I told a few others, the number of diesels seem to more than double every show (2-3 times per year) for about 3 years now, and I think it's just the beginning... very exciting for all of us.

I even talked myself into putting my truck on the dyno (nice talking with/meeting you David!) and was pleasantly surprised with my #'s! I probably learned as much in the last 3 days talking with other Cummins guys than in the last 18 months on here and experimenting with my truck. If you've never been to one of these, don't miss out. It's much, much more than a "truck show. "

Thanks again to Gene from PA (if you're on here) and his dad for enduring my endless questioning, and nice to meet everyone else too! All the people I met and stuff I learned made the horrible weather bearable!

I'm REALLY looking forward to Muncie now. I was riveted to the dyno almost all day Saturday and Sunday (as were LOTS of other people - I think you've created a monster David!) - can't wait to have that, along with sled pulling, and even more diesel trucks! Awesome weekend!

dyno results!

Almost forgot!

319 hp, 715 lb/ft - on the Boggers, with a stock convertor. I was expecting maybe high 200s.

Pretty thrilling really to go from 160 flywheel hp to that in 8 months for less than $1K!

???

So is that you (Gene)? If so, what ever happened with that burgundy truck with the twins???

By the way. To ANYONE interested, I have a few digital pics & videos of the dynoed trucks at Lima. If you want, I'll burn some CDs and bring them to Muncie with me. If you can describe your truck, I'll try and tell you if I have it.

I was great meeting everyone. Glad I made ya a happy camper bluthndr. I remember looking at that tach and thinking "this doesn't look right. " :D

For those that have never been to a Jamboree, it was absolutely awesome. It rained but we still managed to get a few on the dyno and with the mud flying, it was entertainment for everyone. Poor dyno looks as though it was in a mud pit though...

I got to attend the jamboree. The gf and i left home early sat morn and got down there at around noon. Didn't meet anyone (sad to say) but i got to watch my first dyno run ever (not my truck though) and boy was it absolutely awesome!!!!! David Glad to see you there with your dyno, even though we didn't get to talk. Had a great time walkin around lookin at the trucks (even though it was ankle high mud) Sled Puller was that your truck with the stacks parked right behind the dyno?? If so i was going to talk with ya, but you were busy chattin with some one else. David how's about next time you let my sit in a truck with you while you're dynoing ??? Would love it..... I stayed at a motel in Wapakoneta, interesting to say the least. Sorry so long, describe your trucks for me so i can see if i remember them being run.

I'll be at T. i. m so hopefully i can chat with some of you

drove from lima to holly MI to meet with Lsfarm, and that was a pleasurable trip. he let me drive his 2 trucks (WOW, to say the least) greg if ya read this, thanks again and it was great meeting you.
