For you guys who have had a 3rd gen. CTD for a while with the limited slip, what is your impression? I went ahead and ordered it on my new one, but was somewhat pensive due to most of them I have had on past vehicles were not so great. I noticed Dodge advertises this one in the brochure as "new helical gear L. S. D. "

I figured what the heck, but wondered how much I needed it on a 4x4. Please post your impressions of the limited slip. Thanks!

Quad Cab 4x4 SLT- ETH, DG8, You name it... it's got it! - Ordered last week.

I have had limited slip rear ends on a couple of trucks in the past, Dana axles, they were a waste of money as far as I was concerned. My 03 has limited slip and it seems to work good. I live in snow country and I can tell the difference.

Thanks for the input. I'm glad I went ahead and included the limited slip. After all it's only money!;) My membership is all of two days old, and I'm really enjoying the great source of information here. I should be able to get a V. O. N. tomorrow or the next day, so I can start tracking progress of my new beast!Oo.

I ordered it also on my 2003' (2whl. dr. )because I don't have it on my 96' and it really has bad traction in the mud or sand... it even has a hard time on wet grass. I figure this has to be better.

I had a 2001. 5 CTD with Dana limited slip and it was basically non-functional. I had my 2003 during several snow events this year and it worked exceptionally well. I have been very pleased with how well it works.

I have had a 93, 96,99 and now a 2003. I still have the 96,99 and 2003. All have limited slip , the 96 and 99 both have over 100,000 miles. I am running amsoil in the rear ends and front axle of the 96. Limited slip works perfectly in both. I drag race my 99 and both tires light up just fine. :D

The Anti-Spin option has been a MUST on all my previous CTD's. I'd prefer all the HP and Torque be split between two wheels, not one. Just my $. 02 worth... .....
