I just bought a Cub Cadet with a 14hp Linamar engine on it. Anybody know anything or have one of these engines on anything. They are a division on Onan. Thats the type of oil filter I got with it. Only got about 4 hrs on it but it sure runs good. Very quite compared to the Husky(made by mtd too) I had that had a Techumseh on it. I have heard the Cubs are built to a better grade. I sent Linamar a email and they said that they only used this engine on the 2146 and discontinued for ecomic(sp)reasons. They have replaced the 2146 with I think 2166. All the other Cubs that I looked at had Briggs Stratton or Koler on them. Anyway I got this one. I like the way the engine look everything looks simple easy to get to. Sort of like the Cummins.
