I dont have fender flares( although I have been thingking about it ) I however just apply " hurculiner" purchased from my local Napa auto parts, to my rocker pannels. I always wanted to have the rockers done on my 99 4x4 and just never got around to it. I enjoy working on my own truck and like the rest of us take alot of pride in the appearance of my truck. I will not however take on this project again with me doing the work. I planned for 2 days ( thanksgiving weeknd) to complete the project. This adventure actually took the entire 4 day weekend mostly due to the cold temperatures here in Elko (Northeastern Nevada). The material took 3 days to dry before I felt brave enough to drive out in the snow and muck without fear of ruining my three days of work. The prep work was grueling the fumes were noxious. The application was messy, two coats for propper coverage per the manufacture's instructions. Although the finished product turned out nice and I have had nothing but good comments make by friends and co-workers and the results of my toils, this project is a bit much to take on by my self. So with that all said, yes I like the looks and protection of " enter cool product name here" but for Pete's sake please take it to someone to have the work done. You will likely be happier in the long run, it is much easir to pay the other guy to do the work in this instance. Now on a second note if i had a project that I could set up on a set of saw horses and apply any of the ( enter cool product name here) I would definately do it. So now for my question, who has the best bang for the buck when it comes to fender flares??????
