List of tools needed for clutch install...??

I am going to put my Southbend clutch in my 6spd tomorrow evening. I just bought a house with an attached garage about 25 miles from where I live. I am going to take it there to do the swap since I can heat the garage easier than the 1000sq. ft. non insulated building where I am now.



I want to have ALL the tools there before I start the process and I know I will probably forget something so I am asking you guys that do these all the time for a tools list so I can make a list and check it off.



Also, how much fluid does the 6spd take?

I appreciate any and all tips in this matter since this is the first stick I have worked on.

You do not have to drain the fluid out of the transmission/transfercase to change the clutch so unless you want to change the fluid there is no reason to drain it. As to tools, make sure you have a good transmission jack, torque wrench, standard and metric tools. If you have a 4x4 it helps to pull the transfercase from the transmission (easier to maneuver and alot lighter), also make sure you also get the flywheel machined

Wanted to replace the fluid while I'm under it. Got a new flywheel going in so I won't have to take the time to get the flywheel done. Any "allen" head bolts on anything ? I think the fronbt driveshaft is, but anything else ?

unbolt the driveshaft from the transfer case and tie it up to the side. It is much easier than removing the shaft from the axle
