Right between about 29 and 32 mph, I get a pretty fast, light shimmy. Too quick for an out of balance tire. I just rotated the tires and it continues. I did notice the right front tire was scalloping on the outside edge. I also recently had it aligned. I'm at around 77,000 miles. Any ideas what would cause such a think in such a small speed range? No shake or shimmy at all starting at 33 on up to highway speed.

Mine does this also, but its the engine... just a little roughness at a certain RPM range. comes and goes with different fuels too... so I assume its injector related (not saying they are bad, just a slight imbalance?).

I thought about engine or transmission. I'll have to get it to the shimmy speed and take it out of gear to drop engine speed and see if it still shakes.

It isn't the engine or transmission. Got it to the speed, dropped it into neutral, and still had the shimmy. I'm guessing I'm out of alignment or there is enough wear in the front end somewhere that it's causing the shakes.

Dealing with something like that right now, but it does it at all speeds. For me I believe it is an axle u-joint. I've been into the front end changing the bearing hubs so I have been eliminating the possibles. I think I might have a little play in one of the upper ball joints but the u-joint on the drivers side is getting some play in it. Just a thought.
