Alright, I bought the 1996 in my sig two fridays ago October the 7th. And I've been driving it ever since, so the dually had a little rest from its daily driver status. Well yesterday the 17th I decided it was time for the old girl to stretch her legs.
I started it and drove to work like normal, and then to lunch like normal and it seemed to be running normal.
Well after about an hour of sitting in the parking lot it was time to go to school, so I go out and start it again, and as I'm getting on the interstate I roll into it pretty good like I always do to pass the idiots going 50 mph trying to merge with people doing 70+.
Now this little roll on was in 6th gear at about 60 (2000 rpm or so), and this usually produces a little haze at best. Not this time, it spit out the thickest nastiest looking black smoke its ever done since I've had it. the Tahoe behind me disappeared.
Well I thought it was a fluke, so when I was on the interstate running about 75, I roll into it again (not floored either time, just a smooth roll on). This usually makes a VERY little haze that clears up very fast. Oh, but not this time. It was just like the last time but this time I kept in it until I got to about 90 and it never quit.
Can anyone explain this to me?!?
Oh yeah, no boost leaks, nothing wrong with the truck, didn't do this earlier in the day.
Sorry for the length.
