Little red light on dash

Has anyone ever had a little red light come on the dash when your batteries were low like 9 volts ? This happened yesterday when the temperature was -8 and trying to start my truck , it's an 05 3500 .

Yes I did when my batteries gave up the fight. Would not even click when I turned the key. Upon further investigation I found that the little round red light is for the security system, which my trucks is not equipped with ?????? Do not know why it came on when the batteries quit but maybe some one else will chime in.

With low level voltage the trucks electronics goes totally nuts, so EVERYTHING can happen to the dash and other systems.
Dont care about it as long as it goes away with proper voltage aka new batterys.

Thanks guys I had an idea That's what that light was but wasn't 100% sure
