To make a long story short...

My wife found a Llama . 38 spl in the dresser drawer of her Dad's. It is marked "made in spain" and I think it is a model S-1. It has adjustable sites, and a ribbed barrel.

I'm guessing this is a copy-cat of the Smith model 10. I'm wanting to replace the beat up grips on it with something nicer. In the event Dad gets to come home from the nursing home, I think it would be a nice surprise.

Am I guessing correctly?

Thanks,

I think the only way to find out if they fit is to buy some mod 10 grips.

The down side is you'll be investing good $$$ into a so-so (being very generous here) gun.

I've been putting all my old clunkers and in general "guns that aint coming with me if I gotta get out of here" guns up for sale.

Now is a good time to make some $$$ for not so good guns. Supply and demand. :D

That's what I'd do. However the gun may have some sentimental value to him.
