I want to get new tires and rims for my truck. I want a 265/75R16 mud tire. I would like to get some american racing outlaw II rims. I really like the looks of them and they are in my price range. I can't find the load carrying capacity of these rims. Are these aluminum rims strong enough for 3/4 ton trucks. I do not plan on hauling many heavy loads but there is always a chance. Then there is the alcoa forged route. I know those are very strong, but I don't really like the looks of them considering the cost. If they looked just like the outlaws I think I would splurge and get them. I got to thinking that my stock rims wouldn't look to bad if they had mud tires on them. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

the wheel should be stamped with the weight rating or you can call the distributor, I looked for wheels for my dually and gave up because I haul heavy, plus the hassle of a dismount/remount to rotate dually tires, some wheels are as low as 2,200#, good luck

I called 2 dealers, and they both said that the outlaw II 16x8 were rated at 3100 lbs. I was surprised, that is a lot more than I figured they would be rated.

They should list the load rating - years ago I bought ARC rims and they RAISED my load capacity— the increased tire/rim size (245 OEM to 285); and increased my MPG I guess because of the larger rolling diameter and lowered rotating mass. I would call it a good move.
