Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Thundernationals (top alcohol Funny cars and dragsters) were cancelled last weekend for rain and rescheduled for this Saturday (along with the diesels and locals). Admission is still only $20 for everything. Lots of guys are going to the track Friday night after Merchant automotive's (Holland) Dyno (Dunbar's) event Friday afternoon.
This is one (1) hotel within 15 miles of the track (exit 55) - it is Comfort Inn in Plainwell, about 5 miles South of the track (exit 49). Otherwise you will be staying in Kalamazoo - about 20 minutes south on 131.
Plainwell Meijer (1st light west off exit 49) has the cheapest diesel fuel anywhere nearby - often by 10 to 20 cents per gallon. If the line is too long there, the Marathon accross the street has it for about 1-2 cents more for their regular diesel. Meijer bills theirs as "premium" (more $), and marathon has both regular and premium. Admiral (1st station off the highway) has a low price sign, but have one of those "3-axle permit" fine print deals on their fuel.
If you want to keep the truck clean there is an awesome touchless automatic car wash (with coin-op bays as well) on the east side of US-131 at exit 55, the track is on the west side.
