Can anyone tell me where engine block heater is. I had heard it is to left of oil filter but I cant seem to see it. Pics would b great and thank you for any info. My truck came with winter grill cover so should chord be there?

it is just to the left of the oil filter but it can be hard to see with all the stuff in the way. If you reach down and grab the top of the filter then slid your hand to the left and in towards the block a little bit you should be able to grab it. Since you are a Canadian ( altho from a warmer part of the country :) ) your truck should have the cord attached. I have seen trucks from warmer climate that just had a threaded coloured cap over the heater since no cord was attached.

In the picture below there is a 3/4 NPT pipe plug with orange sealant on it just below the second from the right piece of green tape. The green tape is covering the exhaust ports. That is where the block heater goes. The oil cooler and cover, to which the filter attaches to, goes in the empty space just to the right of the plug. This picture shows the right hand side of the engine. Sorry this is the only picture I had readily available. Hope this helps
