Lock up problem:

I had a problem with the lock-up on my truck, trans temps were climbing with the trailer hooked up. Call Bill Kondolay at DTT for some info. After talking about all the things that could go wrong, I got the names of two shops near me. Mass diesel in Mass and John DiMartino near Newburg NY. Called John and went throught the problems plus mentioned I'm getting set to drag the trailer to Florida in a couple of weeks.

John ran a bunch of tests and than we talked about the things that could be wrong. All spelled a lot of money. Trans needed a fluid change and a filter anyway so "he" said lets do that and see what shows up. Pulled the pan and he said "I hear parts rattiling around. " I walked around the parking lot kicking stones and swearing at Chrysler. I only have 70K on this truck and it has been very well maintained. He could not remove the pan for a while because the converter was still draining, mean while I fumed. Got it out and strained the fluid and pulled the valve body and a retaining clip had broken," ONE OF THSE PARTS THAT CAN'T BREAK. " Jonh had a spare valve body and stole the clip. Installed a filter and bolted everything up. Ran a test run and I was on my way.

The biggest deal was I met John at 10:00 AM and it was raining, and due to conditions outside of his control, HE WORKED OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN, with the truck only on ramps. Here is a shop that went above and beyond the call of duty. 3:00 PM and I was on the way home. Shift points were "tweaked" and it has never been better. Next band adjustment, fluid, and filter change I'm going to see John DiMartino, guys like that deserve a few "gravy" jobs. A BIG THANK YOU TO kONDOLAY AND HIS GUYS
