lock up

can someone tell me the rpm is when the t. c. locks up in overdrive.

Depends on throttle position, load, grade, road speed, if your in tow/haul or not. Mine locks in around 1,800 - 2,000 most of the time. Sometimes as low as 1,500 and sometimes only when I let up on the throttle.

RPM? I thought Torque Lock was mainly speed dependant. If thats the case, mine always locks up above 45 MPH

At light throttle the lockup will be around 50 mph and at WOT it won't lock till about 65-70. I don't know exacly as I am usally looking out for traffic.

The converter will come out of lock at about 45 MPH on the way down
