With diesel prices skyrocketing, I figure a little security on my fuel wouldn't hurt. The lockable fuel caps are worthless, any rookie theif can pry them off with a screwdriver.

Has anybody seen a lockable fuel door? that looks good too! I'm not a fan of chrome, so I'd like a flat black or something paintable.

You could also put a 5 gallon gas canfilled with 4 gallons of water and one gallon of diesel (for aroma) in the back of your truck. They would probably grab it instead of siphoning... .

I had a 5 gallon gas can in the back of my truck that was stolen... . After that I left one with a water gas mixture and laughed giddily when it was stolen.

Mopar makes one that is about $15 I think. You also need to make sure that the cap is pressurized or it will make your check engine light come on.

That's only Gassers, Diesels don't pressurize/vapor recover/test.

I hope somebody steals some from me! Shows they are not very smart..... the guy who steals fuel, chances are isn't driving a diesel powered vehicle. :-laf :-laf
