Anyone have any suggestions for a locker for the front of out trucks? I know about the ARB, too much money and too much work for me - compressor and all that. How about E locker, do they make one? Anything else?

Thanks,

Craig

I've had a Detroit Locker in my Blazer (running a Chevy Dana 60) and loved it. Don't expect to be able to turn sharp under power but for what I was using it for (SAND mainly) it rocked.

From what I hear on Pirate 4x4,

Tractech (Detroit) makes the Elocker. It has a little bracket that holds the solenoid mechanism outside the diff on the cover. I think it is similar in price to the ARB. It also acts like a limited slip when it is disengaged. Rockcrawlers dont like it cause the bracket breaks off on rocks and logs and stuff.

Eaton is developing an electronic locker that does not use the electronic solenoid, but rather uses an electromagnet and does not have the junk hanging outside the diff. :) I believe the diff is open(not limited slip) when the locker is disengaged. I think they are in the process of designing for most axles. Last I heard the Ford 8. 8 was all they offered as of yet. Dont know the price.

Theres also the OX locker that is cable actuated. It is open when disengaged and has a bracket on the OX diff cover that moves a shift fork. Similar in price to the ARB.
