In 1976 I put a aftermarket set of front locking hubs on my 4X4 chevy pu. They kept all the front end stuff from turning so they didnt wearout. Also got better miliage. What a novel idea. Probably no one makes them the for a fuel gusseling CTD??

Fuel guzzling CTD? So are you trying to say your '76 Chev p/u was getting better economy than these trucks? I would find that extrmemly difficult to believe.

One reason why they come like they do is that 99% of the buyers have no desire to get out and lock hubs. I admit that I ordered my '99 Ford that way because I heard the system was troublesome and I wanted 2wd low range for backing heavy trailers. I seriously doubt there is much fuel milage sacrificed in a truck that wieghs four tons and pushes air like a small house. You have to REALLY want the dynatrac system, or really have a use for it. Sometimes progress is just that, progress.
