Loctite 330 Adhesive

I'm installing a tachometer on my son's '91 CTD. The sensor kit contains a small package of Loctite 330 to glue the magnets to the harmonic balancer. I prepared everything and pierced the tube of Loctite. I can hardly get it to come out and it seems like it is almost set up, already. It won't spread and frankly, I was expecting something a little more on the liquid side. I haven't used this particular product before, and am wondering what others who have used it found. Is this normal, or do I have an old tube?

The stuff that came in my kit was two differnt tubes, a primer and glue that had two be used together, that being said the stuff didnt work I lost two sets of magnets the first set stayed on a day the second set a two weeks. After that i used the factory sensor (i have a 93). So best of luck to you.

I just went ahead and used epoxy. I have some other stuff to do to it tomorrow, so the epoxy should be cured by the time I start it. Thanks!
