Long time reader, first time poster. Thank you guys for all the money you have saved me while I was viewing from the visitors section.

I am shopping for brake pads for the wife's Camry. I saw these Lomandi Kevlarmetalic pads on e-bay. Great price. Have any of you ever used them?

Should I just go with something local?

with brake pads you get what you pay for, if you want brakes that squeal, squeek, and turn your wheels black get the cheap ones. but if you want to know you will stop after that long hill get a good set of name brand ceramic pads, besides they usually come with a lifetime warranty so spend $35-$50 now and never pay for them again or $17 every 6 months till you realise that cheap brakes suck. just my $. 02

i am an ase master technician and have put all kinds of pads on, from the $7. 99 sets to the $60 sets and you always get what you pay for with brakes.

When I owned a Toyota I usually bought factory replacements from the dealer. The OEMs would have all the little spacers and shims that the after markets wouldn't, forcing you to reuse the old ones. Have no clue about the brakepads on ebay but I do agree on the savings enjoyed over the years from the tips on TDR.
