Lone Star package vs Big Horn package

I want the Lone Star package on my truck, but since I'm ordering from the lowest bidder (probably won't be a Texas dealer) may not be able to get it.



I have been told that the Big Horn package is the same.



1. Can anyone verify this?



2. Does anyone have pictures of the outside of a Lone Star package-equipped truck? I might forego the exterior badging either way.

Go to a dealer and get a brochure on the 06 model. They are basiclly the same, the difference is the part of the country you live in. Lone star is just in Texas the best I can remember.

I have an early 05' with the Big Horn package. I bought my truck in Central Wisconsin, and you can't even tell because it has no badging, but they are identical in features, just a different badge

Lone star is just in Texas

Back East here we have a package called "thunder Road". Not sure if we can bet the Big Horn package.

The packages are identical but are only available by regions. Buy the truck from the dealer of your choice and change the badges if you want the Lone Star badges.

If you are a Texas resident and purchase from an out of state dealer, you WILL NOT be covered by Texas lemon law. I would buy in Tx if you live here. From someone who's had to use it, I think it's a pretty important item to consider.



To clear up - basically you are covered by the lemon law of the dealer's state, not the purchasers. So, if you buy in oklahoma and file lemon law with them, you go by there rules and may have to make multiple trips to the Oklahoma DOT office (or whatever state office you buy in).
