Just a friendly warning that their service department (at least the service writer I spoke with) is subpar. I stopped by on the offhand chance I could get the PCM reflash done (TSB 18-02-99). I simply asked could this be done now. First he said it could probably be done sometime today. Then he wanted to know how this was diagnosed, I told him. He said that they would have to charge for a diagnosis anyways. When I insisted that I just wanted the reflash done, he said that if it wasn't the correct thing to do it could FRY THE PCM and that they had had several events like this! When I suggested that updating software would not damage the hardware unless they had defective equipment or incompetent techs, our conversation swiftly came to conclusion. If anyone has heard of this happening, I'll be happy to retract my criticism, but until then.....
