Got to haul my buddies truck up to Franklin, IN this morning. He is having the transmission rebuilt, by another friend of ours up there that does great work. Anyways, before we unloaded I got out my camera and he said " I should have know". I told him, not to ever talk about my truck not being able to pull his around where ever I want to take it. Had a good trip, took us 2 hours to get up there and about a hour and a half home. Got almost 12 mpg loaded on the way up with the new POD's. They smoke constantly. You can always see a haze coming out of the tailpipe. I didn't think the mileage was too bad considering the amount of wind that truck caught and how hard the wind was actually blowing, plus having 4:10's in the rear. I got about 15. 5 mpg on the way home empty. I do have to say I like the new injectors. Lots of extra power, temperatures were very managable, and my leg didn't get tired from craming the pedal through the floor. I am going to invest in a 16cm2 housing though, because I would like to turn the fuel up just a hair more. As I can hit 1350* - 1400* now with the 18cm2 that is presently on it, if I stand on it and get stupid. What are some of you other fella's getting as far as mileage with the POD's? I am getting between 17-19mpg empty and the above loaded, or with trailer empty in tow. Well enough of that, here is the pic.

Ford dealers should have to show that to new Powerstroke buyers. :D Anyways with the PODs I'm getting around 14 empty, 727 no OD and 33" MT, that is running 80-85mph on interstate, loaded pulling I see about 12-13mpg running 70mph.

You aught to take that picture to a copy center to blow up and frame it to hang on the shop wall. Better yet get a dozen different pictures of Rams dragging in the carnage, furds, whatever and make calendars for all of us!Oo.

Whadja do to it, Chris? And who is that in the middle of the front seat? ;)

farmall- your pickup is identical to mine. You putting a flatbed on it anytime soon? I need a new bed :D.

Actually yes! My plans are to get it painted and undercoated while the bed is off this summer. Then to put a new Steel flatbed that has been Rhino Lined back on. After that it is going to get a set of 5" turnout stacks on it. Get back with me in the summer and the bed could be yours. The whole right side has been repainted and had the fenders worked over where it was in a accident last year.

Man I love to see anything pulling a ford, especially a Dodge!!! Like my pappy always say, "best use of a ford is as a truck bed trailer!!"

Actually, that is when I had to go rescue my friend after he rolled his truck 350 miles from home in a huge blizzard.

And that is my lovely girlfriend, Melissa sitting bitc... uh... middle! :D

If you guys want to see all the pics from that rescue mission, check here:

Then go to page six and look at the other stuff while you're at it!

farmall;

I was only kidding, but GOSH, what luck. I may not have to get it repainted after all. Now, if I can hold out till summer with what I got. Oh yeah, I got baling wire. PM when you get started on the project- I'll come help you take it off and put the new one on.

You may have heard this one before but here goes: first thing my dad asks anyone who buys a Ford is " did you get all the options?" they usually say yes then he asks " how about that heated tailgate?" they say heated tailgate? and he says " you know, so when you're pushin' it your hands stay warm!" always good for a laugh!
