Got to haul my buddies truck up to Franklin, IN this morning. He is having the transmission rebuilt, by another friend of ours up there that does great work. Anyways, before we unloaded I got out my camera and he said " I should have know". I told him, not to ever talk about my truck not being able to pull his around where ever I want to take it. Had a good trip, took us 2 hours to get up there and about a hour and a half home. Got almost 12 mpg loaded on the way up with the new POD's. They smoke constantly. You can always see a haze coming out of the tailpipe. I didn't think the mileage was too bad considering the amount of wind that truck caught and how hard the wind was actually blowing, plus having 4:10's in the rear. I got about 15. 5 mpg on the way home empty. I do have to say I like the new injectors. Lots of extra power, temperatures were very managable, and my leg didn't get tired from craming the pedal through the floor. I am going to invest in a 16cm2 housing though, because I would like to turn the fuel up just a hair more. As I can hit 1350* - 1400* now with the 18cm2 that is presently on it, if I stand on it and get stupid. What are some of you other fella's getting as far as mileage with the POD's? I am getting between 17-19mpg empty and the above loaded, or with trailer empty in tow. Well enough of that, here is the pic.
