Do a search for a middle 80's VW Golf diesel. They use the same soleniod and are cheaper by a little bit.

I got one from Pete Rothenberger (sp?) on ebay; the same guy who has the timing tool for $60. Mine was $17 shipped to me. Like a cheap SE Missourian, I didnt stock up.

Yes I still have a spare from the 81 Rabbit diesel I had once upon a time. Looks to be identical.
