Finally...a hydraulic over air conversion!

Can a 3500 handle this?

Thought I would ask seeing how some of you folks here can get pretty creative. I currently have what is called a Neo Angle shower/tub combo in the 5er. This thing has to go I am tired of it. The tub part is useless unless you are a 3 year old child and I have to step over a 1 ft high side wall to get in it. There is also a seat in the corner which is pointless. There is only a space about 1 1/2 ft by 2 1/12 feet to stand in and I want more room. I will have to cut this thing in half to get it out which should be fun.

I can put a 36" x 36" pan in its place. What should I do with the walls? I have thought about tile but not sure how that would work, may not be a good idea. I really like the idea of the pan and using something to cover the walls and as far as a curtain or different doors or glass enclosure I can create something for that. Any ideas or suggestions out there would be appreciated.

Thanks, Scott

Home Depot carries a plastic or pvc wallboard for remodels. I think its sold in 4x8 sheets and the stuff I've seen was about 1/8" thick.

I would recommend against the tile on walls, the cement backer board and tile will add considerable weight plus the bouncing and twisting as you go down is bound to create problems. I would go with the wall panels, they probably have custom walls available or you could but 4x8 FRP panels (fiberglass reinforced panels) and make your own.

Appreciate the info. I have been looking around and man what choices there are. I think the hardest part is getting the original one out after that is should be pretty easy. Just thought I would see if anyone has done it before.
