That horn set you referred to in previous post. is the sound melodic like the true train horns on locomotives? Or, is it just LOUD? +150 dB is a lot of noise.



My wife just yesterday told me to get the loudest horns I could find for our truck. You would think folks would think?? before they cut in front of 8000# on a wet street! We had a sudden flood here in Mesa, lasted 5 minutes and the streets were rolling water from curb to curb. Trees down everywhere. In the midst of all this carnage, this idiot tries to swap lanes from behind a car in the right hand lane to my lane. There wans't enough room. Hit my bumper and kept on going! Meanwhile, that anemic POS that DC calls a horn was wimpering in defeat!

Oh, one other thing. Anyone ever hook their light relays up to the horn button? That's what I am going to do. Turn on everything, low beams, high beams and driving lights all at the same time. White Lightning + 150 dB of train.

If I recall Rickson Truck has complete kits for train horns as well regular truck horns. http://www.ricksontruck.com/airhorns_train.html . I bought some grover truck horns from them and the service was great.

What's the difference between the K3LA and K3HA?

L= low mount



H= high mount



Mine is a low mount. Either can work depending on what year truck and where you install it.
