I finally have gauges, and a better air intake, now i am ready to start on my way bombing, unfortunately i still have the stock clutch, I am looking to be running a budget of about 250. 00 and am looking at some different injectors as it seems as though the HO engines prefer them to boxes, do you guys have any suggestions as to what i should be looking for that won't smoke the clutch and will fit my price range. anyone with good used ones out there who might be able to cut me a deal.

250. 00 should get you a used set of RV275 or maybe DD2's if you shop around

new RV275 go for about 300. 00

you can't get much these days for that amount of coin :(

RV 275 should net you 45HP

You also might want to check out injector tips if you are capable of installing them yourself. A set of Jammer EDM tips would definitely be in your price range if you can install the tips or know somebody that could do it cheaply. Just make sure you don't go too high for the clutch.

If you want to pick up a little power and a couple of mpg then go with a set of 275's and an EZ or an EZ-Comp. I have 275's and the Comp with 152,000 + turns on the clock. See my sig for other mods. I get a 24 mpg if I am reasonalbe in my driving but have good manuvering power when and if I need it. Still have my original clutch and original brakes.

Some will say other injectors are better and I would then ask, what is your intent. Power all the time consumes fuel and fuel is getting expensive. if you need good moderate towing and more for a daily driver, then I would use what I have already mentioned. If your looking to be the top dog, then money is your only obstical. ;)

I have run stage II's, Jammer 4s and now Supermentals on my stock 6 speed clutch. It has been bombed with ddIIs since 50K miles. I have 100K now with 125hp injectors for the last 25K miles and it has never slipped once. I don't tow ( at least nothing over 5K) but I do hammer on it pretty regularly.

Do you tow? If not, go as big as you can now, 'cause you're gonna want more real soon. For your money, I would suggest a set of jammer tips. I enjoyed mine but sold them to a friend. I regret getting rid of them, but I was chasing another problem at the time and thought it might be injectors. Turned out it was something else and my buddy got a sweet set of Jammer 4s out of the deal.

I think BD has tips as well. Some other members might chime in. I just try to post on my personal experience so I won't comment on other injectors.

The stage II honed injectors I ran were nice but I grew out of them REAL fast and wanted more after a couple of months. If I were hauling heavy, I would have stayed with those. They ran nice and didn't get too hot.

As far as mileage, I have gone from 16. 5 stock, to 18 with ddIIs to 20 with Jammer 4s as well as supermentals. I'm sure a timing box would get me a little more, but I'm happy with this for now.

I am really lookin into the DD II's jetpilot has, the price seems right from what hes sent me, i thinki it will be a good start, then after i get a new clutch and a comp box and turbo i plan to go with something a whole lot bigger (stg 6 or 7's and either one very large turbo (sledpuller 66) or twins)
