95 GMC Suburban?

quad cab & singleCabLB same?

I am looking for a take-out 4BT engine and the related accessories (flywheel, starter, bellhousing, mounts, etc. ) I have a friend who wants to transplant a 4BT and 4500 transmission into a first generation Ford Bronco. I will be helping him with the modifications and installation, but first we'll need to locate an engine, transmission, transfer case, etc. He wants to have power steering and brakes. Will the vacuum pump and power steering pump off a 5. 9 work on a 3. 9? Looking at the front covers, it appears things would interchange pretty easily because where the power steering/vacuum pump are on the Dodge application is where a hydraulic pump often mounts on industrial applications...

Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially on where to find used 4BT3. 9 engine and 4500 transmission/transfer case. Thanks for yall's help.

There was a 4BT listed in the classifieds section of this website. Dunno if it's located close enough to you to make its acquisition logistically practical for you, though.

Sounds like a cool project! I wouldn't mind having a '79 Bronco with a 4BT or 6BT stuffed into it. :D

OUt your way, I would suggest Jamie at Avant Salvage. He is in Georgia and often sells complete 4BT's on Ebay. He is supposed to be a good guy to work with also.

BOMBed 4BT

While we're on the subject, how BOMBable are the 12-valve 4BTs? I assume they take the same injectors and would respond the same to cam plates and so forth.

Doh. . . 4-cylinder. . . guess that makes it an 8-valve. . . you know what I mean :-laf
